DLT LICENSE IN GIBRALTAR

We are delighted to be able to announce an extension of our services to support Crypto-Businesses within the field of Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT). Gibraltar has exhibited strong leadership in the field of DLT by ensuring a thoroughly regulated environment to encourage innovation whilst providing security and confidence for potential firms and clients alike.

In July 2016, the Gibraltar Stock Exchange approved a Bitcoin Exchange Traded Instrument (ETI) to be listed on GSX (Bitcoin.com, 2017). Regulations published 12 October 2017 titled “Financial Services (Distributed Ledger Technology Providers) Regulations 2017” came into effect on the 1st of January 2018.

We provide firms wishing to gain a foothold in this exciting field with assistance, introduction and consultancy services through the entire DLT Licensing procedure required by the Gibraltar Financial Services Commission (GFSC). Following on, we provide our regular business services of company incorporation, annual filings and bank introductions. We can even assist in the acquisition of a local office on request, therefore providing a total initiation into operating from Gibraltar.

We ask Clients to carefully consider incorporating a Gibraltar company of this nature. The licensing process can be a long and expensive process, and at no point can we guarantee the license will be granted. Although we will do what we can to help you throughout the application, we urge clients to understand the requirements, costs, and risk involved before starting the process, in order to avoid unnecessary disappointment.

That being said, we welcome your business, and are happy to answer any questions you may have.
